• Start the tape measure at the hole you currently use and measure to the end of the belt, where it meets the buckle.
• Belts are measured in inches; round up to the nearest inch.
• If you measure 36 inches, you’ll want to purchase a size 36 belt.

How to Measure Your Body for Belt Size?

• Thread a cloth tape measure through the belt loops of your trousers/jeans/slacks.
• Stand in a relaxed, natural position.
• Measure in inches and round to the nearest inch; this will be your waist measurement and belt size.

How to Choose a Belt Size Based on Pant Size?

Add 2 inches to your off-the-rack trouser size. For pants worn at a traditional height, this formula works best.

How to Measure a Gunbelt?

• Put the belt on WITH your gear (holster, extra mags, flashlight, etc.).
• Adjust the belt to the proper snugness, then take it off and measure from the FAR END of its buckle to the hole you used during your fit-test.
• Round to the nearest inch; this measurement represents the actual circumference of your waist (with pants on).

Quick Reference for Sizing

If you plan to use the belt casually or with an Outside Waistband Holster, add 4 inches to your pants size. If you use an Inside Waistband Holster (IWB), adding 5-7 inches to your pants size might be appropriate, depending on the bulk of the holster and gun.
